President Anil Murthy gives speech to VCF Business Club
Valencia CF President, Anil Murthy, attended the opening of the VCF Business Club's 2021/22 season on Thursday in the VIP Box at Mestalla, where the calendar of events and news was presented to the local companies involved.
"In recent years we have changed Valencia CF. The world and the football industry are changing very quickly: The leagues and the clubs are all going through a radical change, which is normal. Disruption is something that occurs. It is something that is also happening in other sectors, and I am sure in your sectors too. Football is different, and there are still investors and other groups who are trying to have an influence in this business. I am talking about the Superleague," said Mr. Murthy in his speech.
"Football is the most popular sport in the world, because we can all have access to it and anybody can play. There is a component that can't be controlled, which is what happens on the pitch. Nobody can take this away, and it is what makes football different from a normal business."
"At Valencia CF, we study and understand football. We look to the future as well. We look at the changes and see where we want to go. We are a club that everybody are proud of, because we are sustainable and don't get onboard with ideas that we don't believe in."
The club president continued by explaining that:
"We want to create an innovative, modern club, to be leaders and change-movers in Spanish and European football. I am happy that VCF Media, marketing, digital marketing, the VCF Innovation Hub, the VCF Academy and VCF Academy 2.0 are benchmarks."
"We have a team with a local and international vision, which is going to make this club grow in this tough world of football. You are all with us on our journey as collaborators. You know about our team of young people and not-so-young people, such as myself, Inma and Jorge. We are all here, united by the determination to have a top project together. Enjoy this journey with us.
Amunt Valencia."
